So Jock is off again - this time to the Caribbean in Yemaya, his 49 foot Bowman. The first leg of his journey takes him from Tighnabruaich to La Palma in the Canary Islands. This leg itself is divided into two sections - Tighnabruaich to Rothesay and Rothesay to La Palma!
Once again Jock will be posting blogs from on board and will have a tracker to allow us to follow his progress. The picture is of Jock setting off from a rainy Tighnabruaich complete with a bucket of sand to prevent whale attacks - seems to be working so far ....
Bon voyage! Have very fond memories sailing Yemaya on the south coast and Isles of Scilly...
Enjoy the voyage Jock!
Buon Viaggio Jock! Ciao Annie & Andy
Bon Voyage Jock, I was stuck in the Beatson being pumped with Toxic Irn Bru all day or I would have been shore side to wish the very best. Noted no spare masts taken this time! But I also know Argyll Riggers has done you proud so your stick (mast!!!) should stay vertical on this trip. Anne and I have done a few trips to places I believe you have in your target plans though, I admit we flew there, we are not as roughie toughie as you are! 😁Best wishes and a safe one.
Good luck to you, fair winds
